April 2023 Club Meeting

Club member Dick Powell will demonstrate at this month’s meeting. His presentation introduces the marriage of resin and wood to utilize material that would otherwise be unusable for turning, left to rot in the woods, or used for firewood. This technique encourages the turner to take advantage of cracks, splits, and other defects as design elements. Additionally, rather than merely filling those defects, the resin can be colored so that those defects are highlighted and become a feature of the piece.
